  • An assessment using the modified frailty index, risk analysis index, and Ganapathi indices in a cohort of patients over 65yrs undergoing aortic valve replacement surgery found that frailty was a better predictor of mortality than morbidity, but there was no difference between the three indices. Frailty was associated with an increased risk of 30-day mortality and longer lengths of stay.
