GIRFT March 2018
- This report is the result of work conducted under the GIRFT programme, jointly overseen by NHS Improvement and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.
- It sets out 17 recommendations to improve the way vascular surgery is delivered in the NHS in England. Centrally, the report recommends a hub and spoke network model, as defined in the national service specification. The central goals are to enable patients to receive urgent surgery sooner, reduce length of stay, cut readmissions and make better use of surgical resources.
