- This short report looks at early onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC), which is defined as a diagnosis of colorectal cancer under the age of 50 years. The incidence of EOCRC appears to be increasing rapidly, and the reasons for this trend are poorly understood. This report therefore compares patient data for those under 50 years with older patients, where both groups were diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer between 01 April 2013 and 31 March 2018 in England.

The report discusses several key findings for care pathways, surgical care, survival, rectal cancer and National Cancer Registry data.
