• Using records of patients undergoing cardiac operations 2012 – 2016 (n=5253) the researchers identified preoperative risk factors for non home discharge after cardiac operations and developed a pragmatic non home discharge prediction score with high accuracy. 
• Non home discharge does not decrease the readmission rate after cardiac operations.
